Welcome to Sha Rent a Car! By accessing or using our services at https://sharentacar.com, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. General Terms

1. These terms and conditions govern your use of the services provided by Sha Rent a Car.
2. By renting a vehicle from us, you agree to these terms and conditions in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
3. We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Eligibility

1. You must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driving license recognized in Sri Lanka to rent a vehicle.
2. Foreign renters must present a valid international driving permit (IDP) alongside their home country’s driving license.

3. Rental Agreement

1. All vehicles must be rented under a written rental agreement signed by both parties.
2. The rental period starts at the time and date specified in the agreement and ends when the vehicle is returned to us in good condition.

4. Payment Terms

1. Payments must be made in advance unless agreed otherwise.
2. Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and cash.
3. All prices are quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

5. Vehicle Use

1. The renter agrees to use the vehicle for lawful purposes only.
2. Prohibited uses include:
   • Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
   • Using the vehicle for racing or illegal activities.
   • Subletting or transferring the vehicle to another party.
3. The renter is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is kept in a safe and secure location.

6. Insurance

1. All vehicles are insured as per Sri Lankan regulations.
2. Insurance does not cover:
   • Damage caused by negligence or misuse.
   • Theft resulting from the renter's failure to secure the vehicle.
3. The renter is liable for the insurance excess amount in case of damage or theft.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

1. Cancellations made 48 hours before the rental start date are eligible for a full refund.
2. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the rental start date.
3. Refunds will be processed within 7 business days.

8. Vehicle Return

1. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition it was rented, with all accessories intact.
2. Late returns will incur additional charges as specified in the rental agreement.
3. If the vehicle is returned excessively dirty or damaged, cleaning or repair fees will apply.

9. Liability

1. Sha Rent a Car is not liable for any personal injuries, lost belongings, or third-party damages during the rental period.
2. The renter agrees to indemnify Sha Rent a Car against all claims arising from the use of the vehicle.

10. Privacy Policy

1. We respect your privacy and handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
2. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your data as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

1. These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.
2. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Sri Lanka.
